What goes on a stick

Leaves, roses, birds. Whatever you fancy, really.

Stick it in a border, a pot, a bit of lawn that needs cheering up. Made by hand, so no two come out the same. Tell me what you're after and I'll have a go.

Iron, steel, copper, brass, bronze. Finished in black wax, left to go rusty on purpose, or polished up.

The pictures here are small pieces I've already made. Proper photos of the garden ones are on their way.

Forged copper lilies and leaves on tall stems, standing on the workshop bench Three sprays of forged steel leaves laid out on the bench A bouquet of forged roses with a coloured heat finish on the workshop bench

Plant your own

Pick a top, a height and a finish.

It's a way to start a conversation, not a shop. Every piece is made by hand, so what you get will be its own thing. No prices here. Ask Steve.

Repairs

If it's iron and it's broken, bring it round.

Gate dropped? Railing snapped? Grandad's old boot scraper in two pieces? Send me a photo and I'll tell you straight if I can mend it. If I can't, I'll say so.

Don't apologise for bothering me with something small. That's the job now.

Same hands that did these

The joke's at the top. The skill's down here.

I've restored the Golden Gates of Wood Norton and made a war horse out of horseshoes. I started in 1989 in a garage behind 13 Bridge Street. That's still my address. Funny how it goes.
